Legacy Futures Awards 2021 – the Shortlist

Posted on 4th May 2021

The deadline has closed for entries to the inaugural Legacy Futures Awards. We’ve been delighted by the quality of the entries we received across all three categories.

We were especially pleased to see so many different charitable sectors represented, from the arts, air ambulances and higher education, to name just a few.

We launched the Legacy Futures Awards to support the sector, and with a particular wish to use our expertise to support emerging charities and organisations at the beginning of their legacy journey. We want to thank every person and organisation that took the time to enter and share their great work with us.

The entries demonstrate the innovation of the work being carried out by in Gifts in Wills and Gifts In Memory teams and the resilience of legacy giving.

We are delighted to have a shortlist representing the outstanding quality of entries we received and supports the charities that will benefit the most from being awarded the prize.

Entries for each category have been shortlisted and will now be judged by our independent panel of judges.

Matt Smith, London Air Ambulance, who joins our judging panel, says “The last year has been a hugely challenging one for fundraising as a whole. However, it has highlighted more than ever how resilient gifts in Wills are, as a way of supporters protecting the causes they love. I am hugely excited and proud to see the inspirational, innovative and supporter led campaigns from the rising stars of the legacy world and the charities they represent.”
